Great Valley Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist who specializes in mood disorders to provide exceptional telehealth services. This position is fully remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from anywhere in Georgia. • Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and history.
• Collaborate with clients to design and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver impactful treatment.
• Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and vital self-care techniques to promote recovery.
• Regularly monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on clients’ evolving needs and feedback.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay informed about the latest research and techniques related to mood disorder treatment.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and learning from peers to enhance clinical expertise.
• Advocate for clients, aiming to reduce stigma around mental health issues and promote a positive approach to treatment.

As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Great Valley Counseling Center, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our client population is diverse, reflecting a range of backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. You will be instrumental not only in addressing their mental health challenges but also in empowering them through education and coping strategies.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure in the state of Georgia as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities specializing in mood disorders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to clients from diverse backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focused on mood disorders is preferred.
• Proven success in applying therapeutic techniques like CBT and DBT, with a track record of positive client outcomes.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology principles and effective collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
