Work Environment

This role allows for a flexible work setting as it is primarily remote, enabling you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. However, your contributions will be crucial in our outpatient office, where we continually strive to enhance our services. You will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow therapists, all committed to delivering integrated and comprehensive mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate the severity and persistence of mood disorder symptoms in clients, developing an understanding of their unique backgrounds and challenges.
• Collaborate with clients to craft tailored treatment plans that respect their individual preferences, goals, and experiences in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic tactics, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment for mood disorders.
• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families, equipping them with knowledge about mood disorders, potential treatment paths, and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly track client progress through structured check-ins and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and circumstances.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure seamless and comprehensive client care.
• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in the area of mood disorders to continuously refine and improve treatment methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster a collaborative professional development culture and enhance service delivery.
• Advocate for clients within the community, working to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders and promoting overall mental health awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with clients who are navigating mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the complexities associated with these conditions and have the empathy to address the unique needs of each client, fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatments, specifically CBT and DBT, along with a strong understanding of psychopharmacology.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive outcomes in treating mood disorders and an ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Exceptional communication skills, providing the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient clinical setting focused on mood disorders.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Active participation in continuing education pertinent to mental health treatment and therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
