In your role as a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients via secure video chat, focusing on their unique mental health needs.
• Encourage clients to discuss their emotions, experiences, and challenges in a safe environment, guiding them towards increased self-awareness and improved interpersonal relationships.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mental health conditions, utilizing your clinical expertise and a solution-focused approach.
• Advocate for clients, assisting them in setting therapeutic goals and regularly reviewing their progress.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling.

Your clientele will predominantly consist of screened, stable adults with low acuity mental health concerns. We ensure that all clients are pre-qualified, meaning you will focus on individuals who are ready to engage in counseling without severe mental health issues. Additionally, you have the autonomy to choose your preferred demographic, allowing you to work with clients whom you feel most comfortable and effective counseling.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A full, unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Ability to make professional assessments and craft treatment plans effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and respect for client experiences.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort using digital platforms for remote therapy.

While not mandatory, qualified candidates will have experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities and a strong ability to engage with a diverse client base. Prior experience in remote counseling settings is a plus, allowing for a smoother transition into this role.
