Position Overview

The VA Tampa Healthcare System is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals providing compassionate, high-quality care to our nation s veterans. This is a clinical and procedural GI position with opportunities to participate in teaching and quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative gastroenterology care.

  • Perform a wide range of GI procedures including:

    • Colonoscopy

    • EGD

    • PEG placement

    • Esophageal manometry (optional)

    • Capsule endoscopy

  • Manage liver disease in collaboration with hepatology.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary care teams and conferences.

  • Opportunities to teach residents and fellows from affiliated academic programs.

Candidate Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)

  • MD or DO from accredited medical school

  • Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Active and unrestricted medical license (in any U.S. state)

  • Fellowship training in Gastroenterology (required)

  • ERCP/EUS experience preferred but not required
