Responsibilities
  • Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.Performs catheter checks
  • Cleans equipment between each patient use
  • Signs/initials documentation
  • Assists registered nurse and/or physicans with exams and procedures
  • Assists with orientation of new employees as assigned
  • Prepares chart for Medical Records upon discharge
  • Performs all duties in a professional and timely manner
  • Requires minimal supervision to safely perform essential functions
  • Documents patient/resident care by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Determines, translate, and implements relevant standards and promotes departmental compliance
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Assists with transfers and discharge
  • Position requires frequent standing and walking, along with lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping/crouching, and occasional sitting.
  • Assists patients with activities of Daily Living
  • Records accurate intake and output (to include NG, chest tube, ostomy bags, foley, etc.)
  • Utilizes cost effective practices in performing all aspects of the job
  • Adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality
  • Identifies expected outcomes, attends meetings
  • Takes and records vital signs and weight
  • Answers the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Runs unit errands as needed
  • Maintains a neat and properly ordered chart
  • Keeps unit material/flow sheets stocked
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned

Additional Information
