Job description

Job purpose
Operation of various heavy equipment and company vehicles that require CDL Class A license as needed to complete projects on a construction site.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety culture
  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all equipment
  • Complete daily inspections and maintenance checklist
  • Participates in pre-shift safety huddles
  • Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents to supervisor or management
  • Maintain an open line of communication with team members to promote team productivity
  • Responsible to report to onsite supervisor or superintendent of any potential safety hazards
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with peers.
  • Able to operate various heavy equipment efficiently and safely
  • Ability to perform tasks as given from supervisors as well as work as part of a team
  • Adaptable to changing conditions
  • Must have and retain a CDL class A license

Working conditions
Working conditions are outdoors and vary throughout the season. Preparation for these changing conditions and the ability to adapt is required. Work will be performed near live traffic and requires awareness of your surroundings at all times.
Physical requirements
This position requires an individual to stand, walk, sit, use arms, hands, and fingers. It will require climbing into and out of heavy equipment, and exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
