Job description

Stop Pretending You Love Your Job. Come Work Here Instead! Your Opportunity:

Look, we know you're tired. Your current clinic is probably a dumpster fire run by a corporate overlord who calls you "family" while scheduling you for 14-hour shifts. We're not that. We're independent, which means the only micromanaging you'll get is from your own imposter syndrome. This position is unique and tailor-made to your specifications.

The Money (The Only Part That Matters):

$180,000 - $215,000 base (for a 4-day week). Yes, we pay hourly. You get paid for your time. You get paid for calling Susan back about her cat's cough. You get paid for catching up on those records that usually ruin your dinner plans. Get paid on vacation! Take control of your income and stop feeling like a used-car salesperson trying to hit a quarterly quotaโ€”your pay is finally out of the hands of Big Pharma and Karen's credit limit.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Country vibe with City benefits!
  • 5 weeks paid vacation.
  • 2 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave. For when you realize kids are harder than surgery.
  • Relocation stipend/Student Loan stipend negotiable
  • Generous CE stipend (3 days paid time off). Go learn something new, or use it to pay for that fancy wine-tasting course. We don't judge.
  • No after hours emergency work. The thought of after-hours calls gives us hives, too.
  • Health and Life Insurance; 401k with 4% match; Uniform allowance; Paid Dues and licenses. The boring adult stuff.
  • Annual Great American Triathlon registration - Run, Bike or Paddle with us!

Employee Wellness Program

Unlimited unpaid time off

The Work/Life Balance (Not just a buzz phrase):

We don't just talk about it, we live it. We lock the doors at 5:30 PM (Mon-Fri). Seriously. The lights are off, the staff is gone, and you should be too. We don't do walk-ins because we respect your sanity. Lunch is two hours. Unscheduled. Use it to eat, nap, finish notes or work on your side hustle!

No drama. No jerks. Come and see how rewarding and low stress veterinary practice can and should be!

Our People:

We are 4 Doctors, hoping to become 5! We call ourselves "team-first," which means we care about your well-being because burn-out is real. We are โ€œteam-ledโ€, everyone has a voice and our team is the bees knees. Self-care is a priority; we proactively find ways for you to do more of what you enjoy and less (or none!) of what you don't. We have no egos, no micromanaging. Our leaders listen and are held accountable like everyone else.

Our RVT-heavy support staff is so efficient (RVTโ€™s (6), VA's (6) and CSR's (5)), you'll actually have time to focus on medicine. You focus on the plan; they focus on putting it into action. They handle the hard stuffโ€”like talking about money. You will never have a financial conversation with a client again! Unless that's your jam, in which case, seek help.

Our Practice:

We are a leader in the community. We have been voted "Best of Lodi" for the last 6 years running. We practice high-end veterinary medicine. We have all the toys and continue to grow our services. 2026 saw us add in-house Echocardiographs and Acupuncture services. Pups, kitties, exotics (but only if youโ€™re game!). Routine care, urgent care, surgery, and dentistryโ€”if you're into that too.

We actually hold ourselves accountable to exceed best practice guidelines while leading with integrity. We talk to our clients so they aren't left guessing what to do next. We're busy, we're crushing it, and our local reputation is unmatched.

We're currently renovating the 8,000 sq. ft. building next doorโ€”itโ€™s going to be epic. Weโ€™re talking 9 exam rooms, a double surgery suite, and a double dental suite, pickleball court...OK, no pickleball. It's long overdue and itโ€™s going to be legendary!

Our Home:

Lodi is a solid community of 60,000, sitting pretty in the heart of wine, cherry, and almond country. We're 30 minutes south of Sacramento and an hour from the Bay Area, which is close enough to civilization to stay sane but far enough away to breathe. Live in town, commute from the city, or buy your own โ€œDutton Ranchโ€. Tahoe, Yosemite, Napa, and San Francisco are all an easy day trip awayโ€”meaning you can escape the clinic and still pretend you're an outdoorsy person with world-class hiking, skiing, fishing and boating right on your back doorstep.

What We're Looking For (The Fine Print):

You need to practice good medicine, be kind to the staff, and not be a jerk. We are looking for someone, first and foremost, that will exceed our clientโ€™s expectations and treat staff the way they deserve to be treated. New Grads or experienced doctors are welcome. If you're currently in a toxic environment and still have a shred of hope left, we want you!

Ready to upgrade your work environment and remember what "excited" feels like? Let's buy you dinner and decide if we can tolerate each other.
