We are seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Mechanic responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of all commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, and related mechanical systems throughout the Club. Ensures equipment operates at peak performance, minimizes downtime, and supports a safe, clean, and efficient culinary environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and complete maintenance work orders related to kitchen equipment and culinary operations in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, ice machines, dishwashing equipment, and other food service machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, gas, steam, and plumbing issues affecting kitchen operations.
  • Maintain and repair cooking equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, ranges, steamers, kettles, and holding equipment.
  • Service refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in units, and ice machines.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and complies with applicable health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with equipment installations and coordinate specialized repairs with outside vendors as needed.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records.
  • Respond to emergency repair needs to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted food and beverage operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certifications in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, gas systems, or a related trade are preferred.
  • Previous experience maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, or related mechanical systems required.
  • Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and applicable health and safety regulations.

Schedule

  • Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, holidays as necessary
