Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center is seeking a knowledgeable, hands-on Ranch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our equestrian facility in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center offers a professional, drama free, team-oriented environment dedicated to high-quality horse care and facility standards. We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining a first-class equestrian operation, maintaining high standards of horse care, facility management, and customer service.

Position Overview

Responsible for maintaining the exceptional reputation of Bell Mountain Equestrian Center.

The Ranch Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily ranch operations, supervising staff, maintaining exceptional facility standards, and ensuring the highest level of care for every horse on the property.  This role provides leadership across barn operations, property management, and team development while fostering a professional, drama-free and family-friendly environment.

In addition to operational oversight, the Ranch Manager will supervise and support the Ranch’s riding school and training program.  Direct involvement in instruction, training, and program development will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and certifications. 

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to ensure the continued growth and success of both the faculty and its equestrian programs.

Key Responsibilities

Horse & Barn Management

·         Oversee daily operations of the Equestrian facility

·         Coordinate on oversee horse care schedules: feeding, turnout, stall cleaning, and overall horse care programs

·         Monitor horse health and identify concerns early

·         Hands-On Ranch work

 

Staff Supervision

·         Manage and schedule ranch hands and support staff

·         Train team members in proper procedures and safety protocols

·         Maintain accountability and performance standards

Facility & Grounds Management

·         Maintain barns, arenas, fencing, pastures, and equipment

·         Oversee pasture rotation and arena conditions

·         Coordinate repairs and manage vendor relationships

·         Operate ranch equipment as needed

·         Schedule and coordinate facility use (lessons, events, boarding, clinics)

·         Capital Projects

Client Relations

·         Communicate professionally with boarders, trainers, clients

·         Address questions, concerns, and scheduling matters
