Provides hospitality and service to guests in Trung Tien Vietnamese restaurant.  Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales and service to guests. Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Provide entertainment by greeting and interacting with guests.
  • Model for photos with guests or other photo shoots to be used in print and promotional advertising.
  • Regular marketing Live! Casino & Hotel through social media according to brand standards.
  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages sales.
  • Ensure consistent quality of products.
  • Prepares beverages with a sense of quality and flare to enhance the experience of the guest.
  • Responsible for setting up bars.
  • Responsible for handling all cash transactions.
  • Responsible for all opening and closing inventories of all stock.
  • Responsible to take orders from guest and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Responsible to have knowledge of guestโ€™s limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Ensure guests receive a favorable dining experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills You'll Need to Succeed

  • Ability to communicate in English and fluently in either Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese or other Asian language.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages, liquors, wines, beers and ales; portray an โ€œask meโ€ image with knowledge.
  • Ability to โ€œupsellโ€ and recommend products to guests.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand basic instructions in English.
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to make change from sales.
  • Ability to reconcile and balance sales at the conclusion of the shift.
  • Eye-hand coordination.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Demonstrable ability to entertain bar guests within socially-appropriate standards.
  • Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations and gaming laws.
  • Able to effectively handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.
  • Ability to communicate with all departments and other team members.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
  • Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
  • Knowledge of bar operations.

A Few Must Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of professional bartending training desired.  Mixology training a plus.
  • Six (6) months to one (1)-year experience as a bartender in a high volume operation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Alcohol Beverage Control card.
  • Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for duration of shift.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
