Job description

Job Summary:
Bobcat Property Management is a respected full-service residential property management company serving the Carson City area since 2014. We pride ourselves on providing professional, transparent, and reliable service to property owners and residents.
We are seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Assistant Property Manager and Administrative Assistant to support our team and daily office operations. Responsibilities include communicating with tenants, owners, and vendors; coordinating maintenance; assisting with inspections and move-ins and move-outs; maintaining documentation; and handling general administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and can manage a variety of responsibilities. We provide thorough training, established systems, and ongoing support to help the right person succeed.

 Responsibilities:
·       Assist the property manager with overseeing a portfolio of residential properties throughout Carson City, Carson Valley, and Dayton.
·       Manage office mail, bills, payments, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities.
·       Coordinate resident move-outs and assist with processing security deposit dispositions.
·       Coordinate maintenance and repair requests for occupied properties.
·       Review digital property inspections and follow up on identified concerns.
·       Conduct in-person property, move-in, and move-out inspections.
·       Oversee the make-ready process for vacant properties to ensure they are prepared for new residents.
·       Assist the property manager with eviction-related documentation, notices, scheduling, communication, and administrative follow-up under the broker’s supervision.
·       Maintain the company vehicle by keeping it clean, organized, fueled, and up to date on routine service and maintenance.
·       Maintain compliance with Fair Housing requirements, applicable local and state laws, and company policies and procedures.
·       Perform additional duties and assist with other property management and office-related tasks as needed.

What makes you a great fit:
  • You fit our core values: Happy, respectful, responsive, ownership minded, teachable and tech savvy, professional and drama free.
  • A strong moral and ethical foundation—integrity is non-negotiable
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in office admin. Bonus if you have Property Management experience.
  • Personable, likable attitude
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to self-motivate
  • Confidence balanced with humility
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while following proven systems and processes

What We Offer
·      401(k) benefits after one year of employment.
·      Health insurance stipend after one year of employment.
·      Opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience in property management and real estate, with the potential to pursue licensing and advance into a property manager role.
·      The opportunity to work from home one day per week after successfully completing a 90-day review should you have the right technology/resources at home.
·      Paid time off and paid holidays after successfully completing the 90-day introductory period.
·      A fast-paced work environment where every day brings something new.
·      A position that includes occasional fieldwork and property visits—not just sitting behind a desk.
·      A strong, supportive, and healthy workplace culture.
·      Paid training and clearly established systems and procedures.
·      Ongoing support and direct access to the broker and property management team.
·      A high level of independence and trust once training is completed.
·      Consistent weekday hours and a professional office environment.
·      Use of a company vehicle for approved work-related responsibilities.
·      The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents, property owners, and the overall success of the company.
