Job description

Position Overview

Brightside Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic telehealth team. In this full-time remote position, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health care to individuals in need, utilizing evidence-based treatment methodologies like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Your expertise will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges in a supportive and compassionate environment.

About the Organization

At Brightside Health, we prioritize mental wellness through science-backed care delivered with empathy. Our innovative telehealth platform allows patients to engage in live video sessions with their counselors, supplemented by self-guided video lessons and practice exercises designed to enhance their therapeutic journey. With a commitment to cultural responsiveness and personalized care, our licensed counselors are equipped to foster deep connections with clients, guiding them toward healing and growth.

Work Environment

This full-time position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while serving a diverse clientele from various locations. Brightside Health ensures that you have access to modern digital tools and a supportive infrastructure that enhances your practice. This includes state-of-the-art electronic medical records (EMR) integrated with artificial intelligence for seamless service delivery, documentation, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly live video therapy sessions with clients experiencing a range of emotional disorders, focusing on delivering evidence-based care tailored to their individual needs.

  • Collaborate closely with fellow counselors and psychiatric providers at Brightside to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches that maximize patient outcomes.

  • Utilize automated symptom self-assessments and progress monitoring tools to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation through our user-friendly counselor portal, ensuring that all required paperwork is completed efficiently.

  • Engage in ongoing support and consultation with the Therapy Leadership Team to enhance clinical practice and ensure high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Brightside, you will work with adults coping with various emotional and psychological challenges. Our telehealth model allows you to reach clients who may have difficulty accessing traditional services due to geographic or logistical barriers. Your role will focus on empowering these individuals through effective therapeutic interventions that have demonstrated efficacy and provide meaningful support.

Qualifications
  • A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of Oregon.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy to clients with emotional disturbances.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are preferred.

  • Cultural competence and the ability to deliver care that respects diversity and individuality in client backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in telehealth or delivering Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) will be considered a strong asset. Familiarity with crisis intervention methodologies, specifically Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS), is advantageous as it enables you to provide vital support to those at heightened risk.

Compensation and Benefits

Brightside offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. As a member of our team, you will enjoy a remote position with flexible scheduling options, allowing you to balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments. We also provide comprehensive malpractice insurance as well as tail insurance coverage to protect your practice.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Brightside, we value the continued professional development of our staff. You will have access to free monthly continuing education units (CEUs) and weekly drop-in consultation sessions with leadership to discuss cases and enhance clinical skills. In addition, we actively encourage our counselors to pursue specialized training and certifications, particularly in areas like crisis management and established therapeutic frameworks, which can further advance their careers.

Why Join Our Team

Working at Brightside Health means being part of a progressive team devoted to innovating mental health care. Our model has proven highly effective, with impressive statistics such as 86% of our members reporting significant improvement in their mental well-being within just 12 weeks.
