Job description

Grace of God Alliance Church of The Christian & Missionary Alliance
Job Description: Senior Pastor
Location: Newark, CA
Region: Central Pacific
Job type: Full-time
In 2004, the Lord placed a burden on the hearts of the brothers and sisters of Silicon Valley Alliance Church to plant a church in the San Francisco Bay Tri-City Area to spread the Gospel. After two years of prayerful preparation and planning, by the grace of God, Grace of God Alliance Church (https://www.ggac-cma.org/) was born on May 20, 2006. We are a small, tight-knit church and are grateful for the privilege and opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Tri-City Area. We offer services in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
In preaching the Gospel, we lift up Jesus Christ as our Savior, our Sanctifier, our Healer, and our Coming King.
We are also a mission-minded church, actively involved in missions both at home and abroad. We are learning to pray for our Alliance missionaries, support them through our missions fund, and organize short-term mission trips to the field to serve alongside them.
There are seven characteristics of our church. We are ...
  • A Biblical Church - We lift up God's Word by obeying His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  • An Evangelistic Church - We focus on spreading the Gospel in our community (Matthew 28:18-20).
  • A Missions-minded Church - We support missions through praying, giving, and going (Acts 1:8; Matthew 24:14).
  • A Praying Church - We are learning to wait upon God in prayer (Romans 12:12b; Ephesians 6:18). ? A Caring Church - We are learning to care for one another as we grow in Christ (Galatians 6:2; John 13:34-35).
  • A Sanctified Church - Christ is our Sanctifier. We are learning to live sanctified lives for Jesus and be a shining testimony for Him (2 Timothy 2:20-21; Hebrews 12:14).
  • A Total-Mobilization Church - We encourage all brothers and sisters to serve the Lord in various areas of church life (Ephesians 4:11-12; Philippians 1:27).
