Job description

Construction Superintendent

MILLER Brothers, Inc.

Marshall, Virginia, United States (On-site)

The time is now.

We’re looking for a Superintendent ready to take full command of the field on high-profile commercial projects—leading from the front, building with precision, and delivering results without compromise.

At MILLER Brothers, Inc., we believe your work should fuel you. We’re a fourth-generation, veteran- and woman-owned Commercial General Contractor with over a century of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. We’re looking for a ground-up Construction Superintendent who can own the field, protect the schedule, and drive the quality our name stands for.

What We offer:

  • Real authority on site – your leadership will set the tone and the pace.
  • True office support – a project management team that has your back so you can focus on running the field.
  • Direct access to ownership – decisions happen fast, and your input carries weight.
  • Investment in you – we put real resources into your professional growth and your personal goals.
  • A century of stability – we’ve been here for over 100 years, and we’re building for the next 100.

What you’ll do:

  • Run the field – manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with zero compromises on safety or quality.
  • Plan the work and work the plan – create and maintain 3-week lookaheads, coordinate sequencing, and ensure materials, manpower, and equipment are in place ahead of schedule.
  • Lead safety from the front – enforce site-specific safety programs, maintain OSHA compliance, and model the right behaviors for every trade on site.
  • Keep it tight – maintain accurate daily logs, RFI tracking, as-builts, and documentation for smooth closeout and audit readiness.
  • Guard quality – enforce plans, specs, and scopes of work; manage punch lists; ensure installations meet contract and code.
  • Be the client’s field partner – build trust and relationships that turn one project into many.
  • Problem-solve in real time – identify risks early, develop solutions, and keep the project moving without compromise.

What we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction (interiors, base building, renovations, or ground-up).
  • Mastery of construction means, methods, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Clear communicator who can direct crews, interface with owners, and collaborate with project managers.
  • Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform roof work progress inspections from height.
  • Someone who thrives under pressure and leads with urgency, integrity, and professionalism.

Why now:

If you’re a Superintendent who’s tired of being left without the support you need and ready to own the field on high-profile commercial projects, this is your shot. A conversation is not a commitment costs you nothing. Explore having a conversation with us.
