***Targeting an October 1st, 2026 Start Date***Position SummaryTo work directly with the Terrain Park Manager, Terrain Park Day Crew Supervisor, and Terrain Park Crew to develop and implement strategies within the terrain park that will maximize efficiency and involve continuous improvement to terrain park construction, maintenance, safety, and employees' growth.Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing and overseeing Terrain Park builds and grooming for all the Terrain Parks.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Terrain Park Grooming staff alongside the Terrain Park Manager.
  • Assist the Terrain Park Manager with short and long-term design and layout goals.
  • Promote safety awareness and excellence among the Terrain Park Grooming staff.
  • Must be an expert operator of all Prinoth and Pistenbully machines.
  • Must be proficient in all Park Winching operations.
  • Must be proficient at running the Zaugg.
  • Must be very familiar with the construction and maintenance of every type and size of park feature.
  • Must be able to perform all job duties in any type of snow.
  • Responsible for all promotional events, contests, photo shoots, etc., builds and maintains efficient communication with all relevant parties.
  • Must be proficient in swapping all blade and tiller implements.
  • Expected to train other operators on advanced grooming, winching, and cutting techniques inside or outside of the park.
  • Train and uphold standards of Terrain Park Grooming staff on safe and proper building, grooming, and rail transportation techniques.
  • Understand general grooming machine maintenance (oil, hydro fluid, coolant, tracks, belts, fuses, wipers, hoses).
  • Attend regular meetings with the Terrain Park Manager and Mountain Management for long-term and short-term planning.
  • Communicate with the Terrain Park Day Crew about nightly Terrain Park adjustments or changes on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for filling out Terrain Park Grooming Logs at the end of each shift and recording the night's operations for liability purposes.
  • Expected to conduct regular training for lower-level operators.
  • Alongside the Terrain Park Manager, ensure all staff are meeting performance and conduct expectations and contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
  • The Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor must have mastered all that is required from the Builder Position at Mt Bachelor.
Secondary Function
  • Snowmaking, hand raking take-offs, general trail grooming, shoveling, assisting in pre, mid, and post-season rail maintenance.
  • Responsible for dig out, opening, maintenance, and trail building as needed in Mount Bachelor's Bike Park.
  • Jib Fleet Maintenance: Oversee rail crew during the summer months. Responsible for jib repairs, painting/refurbishing of jib fleet, and fabrication of new jib features.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with all aspects of snowmaking operations within the terrain parks and on alpine runs.
Job ScopeThe job operates within the established parameters. The Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor is accountable for their on-hill actions, including the safe building and grooming of terrain park features on a nightly basis, the safe operation of the snow cat, and the safety of their co-workers.Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Number of employees supervised: 8-10
  • Positions Supervised:Terrain Park Grooming Staff
  • Scheduling and assigning work: Assigning work throughout the night, involving but not limited to, track packing snow, grooming, building, rail yard organization, feature maintenance (skirting, painting, grinding, etc.), and cleaning snow cats.
  • Training:Yes, on proper grooming, building, and rail transportation techniques.
  • Disciplinary actions: First to discipline, then taken to the manager.
  • Performance review: Yes
  • Hiring/Termination:Yes, hiring control, termination with a manager.
Interpersonal ContactsConverses daily on Terrain Park matters with ski patrol, marketing, terrain park manager, terrain park grooming staff, and general alpine grooming staff.Specific Job Skills/Requirements
  • License/Certification(s): Current and valid Driver's License
  • Technical:
    • Minimum 5 seasons of Terrain Park Building/Grooming experience.
    • Be able to operate a variety of Prinoth, BR, and Pistenbully grooming equipment.
    • Be able to build and maintain all varieties of Terrain Park features to an excellent standard.
    • Must have experience running a winch.
    • Must have experience running a Zaugg.
    • Be familiar with different types of cutting, grinding, and welding tools.
    • Good teaching and communication skills.
    • Must be willing to learn new skills and traits.
    • Must be available for special event/ day builds when applicable.
  • Physical Capabilities: Advanced Skiing or snowboarding ability, Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Education/Related Experience
  • Minimum education required- High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum time in related position- 2+ years in related role.
