Duties * Design mathematical and statistical models to conduct cost-benefit analyses. * Evaluate data sets utilizing economic analysis techniques to simulate process features. * Assess proposed policies and system capabilities to determine cost effectiveness and feasibility. * Formulate assumptions and measures of effectiveness to support resource acquisition decisions. * Present analytical findings to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making. * Negotiate technical operations research solutions with diverse internal and external stakeholders. * Direct the work of subordinate personnel based on organizational priorities and assignment difficulty. * Appraise employee performance to provide developmental feedback and recommend awards. Basic Requirement: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience applying mathematical and statistical models to conduct cost-benefit analyses; evaluating system capabilities to inform strategic planning; presenting technical research findings to stakeholders to support decision-making; and guiding project teams in the execution of analytical studies.
