Job description

ASRC Federal is seeking an Operations Research Analyst for anticipated openings in 2025.  This is a pipeline requisition to collect resumes in preparation of future hiring.  We proudly support the US Coast Guard BOD ALC (Aviation Logistics Center) and their mission of keeping aircraft maintained and serviced so those serving in the Coast Guard can keep our country safe. Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is Required with ability to pass a federal government background investigation.
  • BA/BS in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering, Information Systems Management or Mathematics AND four (4) years of operations research or related experience.  For non-related degrees, six (6) years of experience is required.  For an AA/AS degree, eight (8) years is required.
  • Experience with formulating and applying mathematical modeling or other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists with decision making, policy formulations and other functions.
  • Experience in a maintenance depot is preferred; aircraft/helicopter is a plus.
  • Experience in determining mission supports costs to include maintenance, repair, sparing, warehousing, labor hours, transportation and other relevant drivers.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Experience with tools such as SAS, R or Python (or similar tools) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling to develop and interpret information for decision making purposes.
  • Develop business case analysis with stated forecasting variables in order to provide different courses of actions for mission support and sustainment decisions.
  • Utilize software tools for improving current models and forecasts. 
  • Establish project timelines, monitor work completion and utilize effective communication.
