This position general works 2nd shift hours (3:15pm - 11:45pm) and is eligible for a $1.00 shift differential! At times, maintenance schedules may be adjusted to meet the needs of the facility, but the home shift will be as described. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Perform all assigned work to rig, move and install machines and equipment such as engine and turret lathes, small boring mills, milling machines, radial drills, grinders, punch presses, etc.
  2. Prepare foundations, secure, level and align machines properly.
  3. Assist on large and more involved repair work and dismantle and reassemble machines undergoing repair or overhaul.
  4. Service and maintain overhead cranes and hoists, power trucks and miscellaneous material handling equipment.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance functions such as oiling and lubricating of machinery and equipment.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful in this role.

  • Requires a vocational or high school graduate with courses in mechanical drawing, shop mathematics, and shop practices.
  • Three to four years of experience required.
  • Knowledge of fundamentals as applied in connection with maintenance and general repair.

  • Daily work may include bending, crouching, and reaching.
  • Job duties will also include lifting, stretching and turning, up to 95% of the time; from ground to waist and from waist to overhead. Often, lifting up to 50lbs unassisted is required.
  • Standing and walking 75-80% of the time is to be expected.
