Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm with occasional weekend and nights (Saturdays about 4 times a year and up to 2 Sundays a year)
Hybrid position 3 days in the office at Charlotte, NC - 5039 Airport Center
Pay Range
$30.70 - $46.05
Manages AHEC Connect online modules for health care professionals in the region, participates in website development, photography projects, computer technical support, graphic design, and video development. Responsible for the creation and overview of Internet/Intranet presence, regional marketing materials, editing, online modules project management, photography projects, Spring and Fall AHEC catalog planning and development.
Essential Functions
  • Develops online modules through video recordings and facilitates planning meetings with health care professionals including physicians, oversees audio editing, adding users to AHEC Connect, and Connect data reporting.
  • Provides AHEC continuing education credit for all online modules. Creates posters for poster displays at local and national medical conferences.
  • Manages special technology projects for Charlotte AHEC and edits projects for Medical Media using Adobe after Effects and AVID software.
  • Develops and evaluates data for the CME physician speaker database for the System and the AHEC region.
  • Oversees Medical and Events photography projects and utilizes lighting techniques, specialized equipment and expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Light Room.
  • Provides computer technical skills and works to deliver services and technology to the Charlotte AHEC region.
  • Manages teleconferencing and videoconferencing equipment for Charlotte AHEC. Evaluates monthly AHEC web statistics
  • Cross-trains through all functions of AHEC Medical Media & Library Services.
  • Edit both photography as well as video

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have good vision, hearing, and speech to communicate well with people. This position includes traveling to statewide AHEC sites as well as facilities and affiliate locations.

Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Related Computer and Technical experience required - use of Sony and Nikon equipment
  • Experience setting up sound which would include switching machine and sound boards and setting up hybrid environments
  • Proficiency in Macintosh computer, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, InDesign and other Adobe software products.
