Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Acts as owner's representative for construction projects.
  • Manage and supervise the health and safety program for the construction management team, as well as the Trade Contractors' health and safety officers.
  • Work with Corporate HSSE team in the implementation of a site-specific health and safety manual that includes project policies and work procedures.
  • Maintain safety records and statistics and analyze the results to continuously improve the safety program by hazard mitigation and accident avoidance.
  • Other responsibilities: safety training and orientation, investigation of all incidents, ensuring Trade Contractors adhere to the site-specific safety procedures, including the wearing of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), monitoring of and participation in joint safety meetings.
  • Participation in medical monitoring processes, and management of HSE-related licenses, permits, and authorizations required to perform construction operations onsite.
  • Be available to respond to incidents during off-hours on a rotational basis.
  • Performs such assignments and duties as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time.
