We are excited to announce the creation of a new surgical department and are seeking a skilled and visionary Veterinary Surgeon to lead this pioneering initiative. Join us in bringing specialty veterinary services to the Ann Arbor area!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish the new surgical department, including protocols and procedures.
  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including soft tissue, orthopedic, and emergency surgeries.
  • Collaborate with our team of specialists and emergency veterinarians to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Educate staff and pet owners about surgical options, risks, and post-operative care.
  • Lead and participate in ongoing training and development for the surgical team.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence in patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification or residency training in surgery preferred, but not required.
  • Proven surgical skills with experience in emergency surgery.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Visionary mindset with a commitment to advancing veterinary medicine.
