Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments, issuing receipts, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.


Where You'll Make an Impact:

 

  • Responsible for operating cash register to cash out guests.
  • Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurants.
  • Responsible for assisting with bussing and cleaning tables.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
  • Work to ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

  • Ability to:
    • Use cash register systems.
    • Read and follow basic instructions.
    • Use a telephone; hear and speak clearly.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Alcohol awareness.
    • Sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.

Must-Haves:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of restaurant experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to:
    • Stand and walk continually throughout a scheduled shift. 
    • Bend, stoop and reach. 
    • Carry trash bags weighing up to 25 lbs. 
  • Use of stairs and elevators
