Job description

We are currently seeking caregivers (Personal Care Attendants) who are compassionate, able to communicate effectively and are reliable to provide care for participants in their Supported Living settings in San Leandro.

The successful Full-time candidate will receive paid training for the individual who has an upcoming schedule opening. Paid training will take place on varying shifts in order to develop support team relationships and a thorough understanding of the client and her needs.

The successful part-time candidate(s) will receive paid training for four women with similar care needs who each live in their own home, with the support of a dedicated team of 24-hour caregiver staff.

The requirements and duties of the job include but are not limited to: physical support for transfers into and out of a wheelchair, using a hoyer lift, mobility, meal preparation and clean-up, medication assistance, help with bathing, personal care, hygiene, dressing, oral care and observation for signs of illness or skin problems. Duties also included but are not limited to: light housekeeping, laundry, keeping adaptive equipment clean and power wheelchair(s) charged daily.
