Good attendance and punctuality required.Job SummaryThe Operations Safety Coordinator supports workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and employee training programs. This role partners with leadership and employees to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company requirements, maintain safety records, conduct investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities Administer safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company requirements. Coordinate and deliver safety training, onboarding, and awareness programs. Conduct facility inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, reports, and compliance documentation. Monitor injury and incident trends and recommend corrective actions. Support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and other safety programs. Partner with management and employees to identify and mitigate workplace risks. Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and workers' compensation investigations. Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture. Support site safety committees and day-to-day EHS activities. Serve as backup for essential safety functions in the absence of the Operations Safety Manager.Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of safety, environmental, manufacturing, or related experience. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Strong communication, training, investigation, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the facility. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Use computers and office equipment for extended periods. Perform inspections, audits, investigations, and training activities throughout the facility. Occasionally bend, kneel, and stoop.Work Environment Manufacturing and office environment. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and oils typical of food manufacturing facilities. Minimal travel may be required.Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
