George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct instructor position in Sociology, to begin in spring semester of 2023. The successful candidate will teach 2 courses (listed below).

Professors teach all truth as God's truth, integrating all fields of learning around the person and work of Jesus Christ, bringing the divine revelations through sense, reason, and intuition to the confirming test of Scripture. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Teaching SOCI 150 (Principles of Sociology) on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12 to 12:50 pm in the spring (1/9/23-4/28/23)
  • Teaching SOCI 220 (Men and Women in Society) on Tuesday, Thursday from 12 to 1:15 pm in the spring (1/9/23-4/28/23)

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Sociology or a related field is required.
  • Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
  • Demonstrates awareness, respect, and appreciation for diversity of culture, background, race, sex, political views, expressions of faith, etc. and works well with a variety of people.
  • All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the .
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and service.
  • Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, or Texas.
