Job Title - Instructor in Neurosurgery

Working Title - Endovascular Fellowship

Department Name - NEUROSURGERY

Work Location - Lexington, KY

Type of Position - Faculty

Position Time Status - Full-Time

Tenure Track Status - Non-Tenure Track

Required Education - M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree

Required Related Experience - Evidence of appropriate research training and/or equivalent experience in Neurosurgery or related disciplines. This training/experience should be of an adequate type and duration to prepare the individual for development of an independent research program.

Required License/Registration/Certification - License to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky. Must obtain Kentucky medical licensure before appointment. Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery

Job Summary - The Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting for an Endovascular Fellow to support the Department. The faculty member in this position will report to the Director of the Endovascular Fellowship and the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery. The primary responsibilities for this position will be: participate in clinical teaching activities and provide direct or consultative neurological care for patients (adults and/or children) with neurosurgical illness in. In addition, this position will attend on the Neurosurgical inpatient unit and/or consultative services and/or provide coverage for other faculty, and acquire and improve skills in research and teaching pertinent to future leadership roles in Academic Medicine. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Demonstrated proficiency in patient care, teaching, communication skills, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and work well with multidisciplinary professionals in varied organizational and community relationships.
