We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infection Preventionist Nurse to join our team at Ambassador Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, Illinois. As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our residents by implementing effective infection prevention and control measures.
Responsibilities:Conduct thorough infection control assessments and develop plans to prevent and control infections
Identify and investigate potential outbreaks and implement corrective actions to prevent further spread
Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control protocols
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection prevention and control measures
Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and residents to educate on infection prevention and control practices
Provide guidance and training to staff on infection control procedures
Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures
Conduct quality improvement initiatives to reduce infection rates and improve patient outcomes
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Minimum 0 years of experience as an Infection Preventionist or in a related field
Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare software
Ambassador Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located on the north side of Chicago and has been an integral part of the community since 1976.
