Job Description - Caregiver / Care Partner
Griswold Home Care - Greenville & Spartanburg, SC
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers / Care Partners to provide non-medical home care to seniors and adults needing support. Our mission is to ensure every client lives life to the fullest-safe, happy, and supported-while creating a positive work environment where caregivers feel valued and respected.
Ideal Qualifications
• CNA preferred, or 2+ years of caregiving experience
• OR: No experience required if you have the heart for caregiving - we will train you
• Strong reliability and punctuality
• Patience, empathy, and compassion
• Ability to remain calm in stressful or emotional situations
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Comfortable providing both personal care and companionship
Required Skills
• Dementia/Alzheimer's care
• Proper lifting, transferring, and mobility assistance
• Light housekeeping and meal prep
• Excellent communication
• Ability to follow individualized care plans
• Comfort using simple, intuitive caregiver apps (training provided)
Reporting Structure
Caregivers report directly to:
• HR Department
• Scheduler / Care Coordinator
Types of Clients You'll Serve
Age 18+ individuals who may be:
• Seniors
• Disabled adults
• Post-operative clients
• Clients needing transportation
• Clients requiring companionship, personal care, or daily living support
Responsibilities
• Follow the client's individualized care plan
• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, hygiene)
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Track tasks and progress in easy-to-use mobile care apps
• Maintain professionalism and strong communication with the office
• Uphold client dignity and privacy at all times
