Position Overview

A warm, active Greenwich family is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable full-time nanny/family assistant to become a trusted, long-term part of their household on a live-in basis. The primary focus of the role is the care of their infant daughter, who will be approximately 5–6 months old at the start of employment. She is bottle-fed, sleep trained, and on an established feeding and sleep schedule. The family is looking for someone who genuinely understands infant development and enjoys actively supporting a baby's growth through floor and sensory play, reading, language and motor development, outings, and new experiences — while maintaining the consistency of her established routines and thoughtfully adapting them as she grows.

The family also has two school-aged boys who are in the home on an alternating weekly schedule. The baby remains the nanny's primary responsibility, but when the boys are home, the nanny will help with the rhythm of a busy, sporty family — school drop-off and pickup, driving to sports and activities, homework help, snacks and meals, and playdate supervision. The family is clear that they do not expect one person to be in three places at once, and they are open to bringing in additional childcare support during busier stretches when all three children are home or schedules overlap. They value their nanny's input on what support makes the household run best. A housekeeper works in the home two days per week, so this is not a cleaning or deep-cleaning position.

This position is scheduled as a split shift, with a midday break between the morning and afternoon blocks. The live-in accommodations are fully self-contained and private, with a separate exterior entrance.

Benefits
  • Guaranteed hours per week
  • Fully furnished private apartment connected to the main house, with a king-size bed, windows, large closet, private bathroom, and its own exterior entrance
  • Groceries and household food provided, with the ability to add personal items to the family grocery list
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • 2 paid sick days
  • 2 paid personal days
  • 6 paid holidays
  • Family vehicle provided for work-related driving
  • Parking available at the residence
  • Additional childcare support available during busier periods
Responsibilities
  • Full, attentive care of an infant, including feeding, bottle preparation, diapering, naps, and maintaining her established sleep and feeding schedule
  • Developmentally appropriate engagement and activities that evolve as the baby grows
  • School drop-off, pickup, and driving to sports, activities, playdates, and outings
  • Homework support and general supervision for the school-aged boys when they are in the home
  • Light meal preparation and cooking for the children, plus some light family meal prep
  • Children's laundry and organization of bedrooms, play spaces, and belongings
  • Tracking baby supplies and notifying parents of what is needed
  • Preparing children for school, sports, activities, and outings
  • Occasional flexibility to pivot as the family's day requires
Requirements
  • Significant professional experience caring for infants under one year
  • Strong working knowledge of infant developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities
  • Comfortable with a live-in arrangement in private, self-contained quarters
  • Valid driver's license, and confidence driving children safely
  • Comfortable swimming and supervising children in and around water
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proactive, organized, safety-conscious, and calm under pressure
  • Genuine interest in a long-term placement
  • Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
