Job description

We have a warm and busy family in Northern New Jersey seeking a dedicated and nurturing Live-In Nanny and Mother's Helper to care for our two boys. The older son is on the autism spectrum (mild) and thrives with structure, patience, and engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with special needs and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and positive environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, compassionate care for two children.

  • Engage the children in fun, recreational, and educational activities.

  • Support daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and mealtimes.

  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.

  • Assist with light household duties related to the children (laundry, tidying play areas, loading dishwasher).

  • Drive children safely to and from activities, appointments, or family outings.

  • Support consistent bedtime routines.

  • Communicate regularly with parents about the children’s activities, progress, and needs

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of childcare experience (experience with autism or RBT certification strongly preferred).

  • Proven ability to support children with special needs (preferred but not required).

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and flexibility to adapt to family schedules.
