Companion Caregiver Job Position

Avanta Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers who are interested in learning and growing within the senior care industry. Our Companion Caregivers must be reliable, dependable, honest, and caring, with a strong commitment to supporting clients.

Note: Client has a small dog

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and engage in conversation with clients
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and linen changes
  • Lay out clothing and assist clients with dressing
  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Assist with transportation to and from appointments
  • Help family members understand and follow safe care techniques
  • Qualifications
  • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
  • Ability to understand and follow the client’s care plan
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
  • Comfortable working around small pets such as dogs and cats
  • Must be reachable by phone or email for schedules, updates, and emergencies
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
  • Previous experience with senior care or dementia patients is a plus
