Job description

Flexible PRN Live-In Caregiver - Work on Your Schedule
Do long hours, endless patients, or chaotic facility work leave you feeling overworked and underappreciated?
It doesn't have to be this way.
At Freedom Home Care, our PRN Live-In Caregivers provide one-on-one care in a client's home while enjoying the flexibility to choose the assignments that fit their schedule. Make a meaningful difference in someone's life while working with a supportive team that values the care you provide.
Please Read Before Applying
This is a true live-in caregiving position-not a traditional overnight shift. Live-in caregivers temporarily reside in the client's home for the entire scheduled assignment, which typically ranges from 2 consecutive days up to 1 week. Because clients require continuous care, caregivers must remain in the home throughout the assignment and may only leave after being relieved by another approved caregiver or when coverage has been arranged by the office.
Why You'll Love Working With Us
  • Work on Your Terms - Accept only the live-in assignments that fit your schedule.
  • Meaningful One-on-One Care - Build genuine relationships while helping clients remain safely in their homes.
  • Supportive Team - Our office staff is available to support you throughout every assignment.
  • Competitive Pay - Earn $250 per day while providing compassionate, personalized care.
What You'll Do
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Follow each client's individualized care plan.
  • Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.
  • Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home.
What Does "Live-In" Mean?
A live-in assignment means you will temporarily live in the client's home for the duration of your scheduled assignment. This is not a traditional 8- or 12-hour shift.
During your assignment you will:
  • Live in the client's home until your assignment ends.
  • Have your own designated sleeping accommodations.
  • Sleep overnight while remaining available if the client needs assistance.
  • Receive breaks and downtime as the client's care needs allow.
  • Remain in the home throughout the assignment to ensure the client is never left alone.

Example: If you accept a 4-day assignment beginning Monday at 11:00 AM, you will remain in the client's home until Friday at 11:00 AM (or until your scheduled relief arrives), providing care, companionship, and support throughout your stay.
Schedule
  • PRN Live-In Assignments
  • Assignments typically range from 2 consecutive days up to 1 week
  • Most assignments begin at 11:00 AM
  • Caregivers remain in the client's home for the duration of the assignment.
  • Flexible scheduling-you choose which assignments to accept.
Qualifications
  • Previous live-in, overnight, home care, or caregiving experience a must.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and professional.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Current auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a Minnesota Background Study.
Why Choose Freedom Home Care?
  • Top pay in the area.
  • Flexible scheduling that works around your life.
  • One-on-one client care-no facility chaos.
  • Career advancement opportunities.
  • Specialized Parkinson's and Dementia training.
  • Supportive leadership team.
  • Caregiver appreciation events.
  • A company culture that truly values its caregivers.
Proudly Recognized As
  • Employer of Choice (2022-2026)
  • Provider of Choice (2023-2025)
Perks & Benefits
  • Early access to earned wages.
  • Simple IRA with company match.

  • Ongoing education and training.
  • Employee appreciation events.
  • Opportunities for career growth.
