Job description

The Heavy Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of heavy machinery used on-site and at various field locations. Working within a small team and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this technician handles routine maintenance and emergency repairs to keep equipment operational and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues
  • Conduct repairs and welding on equipment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all maintenance and repair activities
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns in the field
  • Collaborate effectively within a small team environment
  • Travel frequently to various field locations for maintenance and repairs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Technical diploma or associate degree in Heavy Equipment Technology or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
