Job Purpose and Impact
The Rail Execution Specialist will evaluate routine to difficult and varied distribution and transportation operations, data and facilities to identify the most effective distribution and transportation patterns for products. In this role, you will conduct data management, reporting and analysis, shipping, client interaction, business partnership and project coordination activities
Key Accountabilities
Collect and organize fleet-related information from internal and external customers and maintain accurate transportation records and tracking data.
 
Support inventory management needs through efficient rail transportation of raw materials.
 
Monitor receiving, locating, sourcing, purchasing, and inventory optimization activities.
 
Plan and coordinate railcar movement activities, including managing escalations with rail carriers regarding service issues.
 
Build and maintain strong relationships with rail carriers and transportation providers.
 
Use transportation and logistics knowledge to make recommendations and support customer service objectives.
 
Coordinate rail fleet activities to ensure adequate railcar availability for production and loading plans.
 
Support railcar repair and maintenance programs and coordinate activities with third-party service providers.
 
Monitor transportation and maintenance expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
 
Resolve moderately complex operational and transportation issues independently, escalating more complex matters when needed.
 
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies.
 
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in rail transportation, fleet management, transportation logistics, or supply chain operations. 
  • Experience working directly with rail carriers and transportation service providers. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. 
Position Details.

Location: MN, Wayzata. Winipeg, Manitoba (Canada) open to other Ag and Trading Production facility locations.

The expected salary for this position is $64,000 - $80,000 Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
