Duties

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Assist with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety
  • Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies, to promote safety and comfort
  • Manage meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
  • Implement behavior management techniques to support residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
  • Operate standard passenger vehicles safely when transporting clients to appointments or community activities
  • Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance

Skills

  • Demonstrated assisted living experience and long-term care background in residential or home care environments
  • Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, geriatrics, and memory care techniques
