About the Role:
Greater Harvest Homes LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated 3rd Shift Group Home Worker to join our team in Gastonia, NC. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of residents by providing overnight care, support, and a safe environment. Responsibilities:
  • Provide overnight supervision and direct care support to group home residents
  • Monitor resident safety and well-being throughout the 3rd shift hours
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including hygiene and medication reminders as required
  • Document resident behaviors, incidents, and any notable overnight observations accurately
  • Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral or medical situations and follow emergency protocols
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for all residents
  • Communicate shift updates and resident concerns to incoming staff during shift transitions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in residential care, group home, or direct support professional (DSP) role preferred
  • Ability to work overnight/3rd shift hours reliably and consistently
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-centered approach to care
  • Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
