Job Summary

Facilities Support Rep assists the Logistics Manager by moving equipment and delivering supplies to ensure that the facilities are maintained and operational. Work closely with management to resolve problems.

Essential Functions

  • Perform general facilities maintenance, including groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and building upkeep.

  • Receive, clean, inspect, and stage barrels, totes, and reusable containers by operating industrial washing equipment and ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Monitor washer operation, replenish cleaning supplies and chemicals, perform basic equipment maintenance, and document completed work and maintenance needs.

  • Transport, load, unload, and stage materials, production equipment, and supplies between company locations using manual and powered material handling equipment.

  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and modify warehouse pallet racking systems and repair wood, composite, and plastic pallets as needed.

  • Move and install office furniture, appliances, computers, and other equipment.

  • Operate floor scrubbers, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, company vehicles, and other equipment required to support facility operations.

  • Provide support for Shipping and Receiving department by accepting deliveries, verifying shipments, and maintaining receiving records.

  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and other company systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Operate Floor Scrubber at all buildings.

  • Miscellaneous grounds cleanup and maintenance.

  • Must have a valid state driver's license and good driving record.

  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Job Qualifications

  • Helpful to have a general working knowledge of common office equipment.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • Employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. regularly and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.

  • During the winter, the employee will be working outdoors and shoveling snow in inclement weather.
