About the Community:

This master-planned community is highly amenitized and specifically designed with providing residents with numerous recreational and lifestyle options. It has earned awards and maintains a strong standing within the top ten master planned communities.

The Groundskeeper will maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the community facilities. This job plays a key role in executing our companys purpose statement: We build community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live.

What youll accomplish:

  • Daily upkeep of the community grounds and facilities
  • General cleaning and removing trash on a dedicated route
  • Sweeping or hosing off community areas daily and as needed after rental
  • Ensuring areas around the dumpsters are clear
  • Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies / equipment needed to perform duties
  • Executing additional tasks as required

What were looking for:

  • Temporary hire roughly March through August
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years old
  • At least 2 years of grounds keeping / maintenance experience
  • Skills in carpentry, HVAC, electric, plumbing and other building trades
  • Experience in landscaping, irrigation and grounds maintenance
  • Must be organized, efficient and have the ability to recognize the level of quality acceptable to keep facilities looking their best
  • Ability to communicate with residents, managers and peers in an effective way
  • Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends
  • Problem solving skills
  • Valid Drivers License and a clean driving history
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state drivers license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
