Job Description:

The Lead Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in all of the properties maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders. The Lead Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibilities include hands on maintenance of the property including general upkeep and repair to units and the grounds, responding according to company policy to work order requests, turn and make ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. Rotating on call & some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the daily operations of the property
  • Respond to Work Orders per company policy
  • Grounds and exterior upkeep, as needed
  • The Turn and Make Ready process
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections
  • Inspecting units for Move In readiness
  • Ensure company policy and state and federal safety and fair housing laws are adhered to
  • Hands on maintenance
  • Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to better the property and position through great ideas

Requirements:

  • 3 years' maintenance experience, required
  • Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes, aparments, or hotels preferred
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC, required
  • HVAC Certification, required
  • Mechanical background, preferred
  • Good organizational and people skills
  • Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment
  • Must live within 30 minutes of property and have a valid driver’s license
