What is a live in golf course marshal?

Live In Golf Course Marshals are individuals who reside on or near a golf course and are responsible for ensuring that play runs smoothly and rules are followed. Their duties include monitoring pace of play, assisting golfers with questions, enforcing course policies, and sometimes providing minor first aid or help in emergencies. They may also help with crowd control during tournaments, report maintenance issues, and act as a liaison between players and course management. The 'live in' aspect often means they receive accommodations as part of their compensation.
