Job description

Achasta Golf Club, located in Dahlonega, GA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Golf Course Maintenance Technician! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
General Purpose:
The entry-level Golf Course Maintenance Technician assists in the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, practice facilities, clubhouse grounds, and landscaping. No previous golf course experience is required; training will be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Schedule:
  • Early morning, weekend, and holiday work may be required
  • Flexible scheduling available based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mows greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas
  • Rakes and maintains bunkers
  • Operates string trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles, and other turf equipment
  • Assists with course setup, including changing cups and moving tee markers
  • Repairs divots, ball marks, and other turf damage
  • Assists with irrigation system maintenance and repairs
  • Assists in applying fertilizers, soil amendments, and other turf management products under supervision
  • Performs landscape maintenance, including pruning, edging, mulching, and debris removal
  • Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and maintenance facilities
  • Follows all safety procedures and club policies
  • Assists with special projects and tournament preparation as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including walking, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Valid driver's license preferred

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
