The Sales Development Representative (SDR) - Aerospace & Defense drives demand generation, qualification, pipeline growth and deal momentum for Stratasys solutions within the AMER Aerospace, Defense, Government and Uncrewed Systems (UxS) sectors. Working closely with Vertical Marketing, Account Managers, Channel Partners and Vertical leaders, the SDR identifies and engages target accounts, qualifies opportunities, and supports strategic account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives. The role serves as a critical link between marketing activity and sales execution, helping defense manufacturers, aerospace organizations and drone developers evaluate additive manufacturing solutions for prototyping, tooling and production applications.

This position serves as an entry point into Stratasys' Aerospace & Defense commercial organisation. Successful candidates will gain experience in account-based marketing, opportunity qualification, strategic account engagement and additive manufacturing applications, providing a pathway toward future Business Development, Account Management and Sales leadership roles
What you will be doing:
Target Account Engagement:
Execute targeted outreach into Aerospace, Defense and UxS accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn and account-based marketing initiatives. Engage engineering, manufacturing, innovation, supply chain and programme stakeholders to identify opportunities aligned with Stratasys solutions
Defense & Aerospace Lead Qualification:
Respond to inbound inquiries generated from industry events, webinars, defense campaigns, roadshows and digital programs. Assess customer requirements, manufacturing challenges and project timelines to determine opportunity potential
Must have for this role:
  • Minimum 2 years of enterprise/B2B inside sales or direct sales experience in the technology/high-tech/ hardware industry
  • 2 years working directly with customers in a consultative approach.
  • Associate degree in business administration, marketing, statistics or related field; university matriculated a plus
  • 2 Years experience with Salesforce.com, Salesloft/Outreach and Analytic tools an advantage

Opportunity Progression:
You will also be reactivating stuck or dormant opportunities and updating sales teams as needed to inbound requests of existing deals and customers. You will work closely with Account Managers and Channel Partners to progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle. Coordinate introductions, benchmark requests, application reviews and technical discovery sessions
Market Intelligence
Gather intelligence on aerospace, defence and drone manufacturing programs, emerging market requirements, competitive activity and customer challenges. Share insights with marketing and sales leadership to improve campaign effectiveness
Nice to have:
  • Minimum 2 years of enterprise/B2B inside sales or direct sales experience, preferably in technology, high-tech, or hardware environments.
  • 2 years of experience working directly with customers using a consultative sales approach..
  • Comfortable conducting outreach via phone, email, and digital/social channels
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or equivilant experience

For this position, the typical salary, including incentive is from $60,000 -$79,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
