Additive Manufacturing Technician

B&T USA is seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Technician. The Additive Manufacturing Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining 3D printing equipment to produce high-quality, precise and reliable 3D products essential in the firearms and suppressor manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, prepare and calibrate 3D printers for production runs.
  • Monitor the printing process to ensure proper functioning and quality of prints.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the print process.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on 3D printers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Load appropriate materials and designs into 3D printers.
  • Ensure adequate supply of needed materials is on hand to meet production demands.
  • Perform quality control by inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring finished product meets specifications.
  • Maintain records of production runs, maintenance activities and any issues encountered.

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment helpful.
  • 2 or more years of previous experience with 3D printers preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and understanding of additive 3D printing technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of firearms.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to specifications.
  • Ability to work with a team and communicate effectively about technical issues.
  • Understanding of machinery and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize.
  • Must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in a manufacturing machine shop environment.
  • Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to access and navigate B&T's facilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or crouch.
