Job description

Are you an experienced GPR professional or utility locator looking to take the next step in your career? Join our West Seneca team and become part of a stable, supportive work environment where your expertise is valued—and where long-term careers are the norm, not the exception.
As our Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated professional to help support and grow this function within the company. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing service line while working alongside a highly experienced Mechanical Integrity (MI) team.
Initially, this role will support both GPR and broader Mechanical Integrity field activities as the GPR service line continues to grow. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys field work, problem solving, customer interaction, and opportunities for long-term career growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) for GPR services
  • Perform Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys for concrete scanning, utility locating, structural investigations, and subsurface evaluations
  • Coordinate all phases of GPR jobs from initial quote preparation through to final completion, including defining and detailing the full scope of work.
  • Interpret and document GPR findings and communicate results clearly to customers and project teams
  • Communicate with customers regarding project setup, scheduling, site conditions, and findings
  • Build relationships that support repeat business and service expansion
  • Assist with field inspection and testing services related to Mechanical Integrity projects as needed
  • Support non-destructive examination (NDE) and related field services using company-certified methods
  • Prepare accurate field documentation, sketches, reports, and project deliverables
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, and Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) when applicable
  • Utilize software and field technology to document findings and generate reports
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, and follow all health and safety practices
  • Perform routine maintenance and care of GPR and field-testing equipment
  • Support additional Mechanical Integrity and inspection-related activities as business needs evolve
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) experience
  • Experience with utility locating, concrete scanning, subsurface investigations, or related services strongly preferred
  • Experience in Mechanical Integrity Inspection, NDE, construction inspection, or related industrial field services is a plus
  •  High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction technology, or related technical discipline preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret field data and drawings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with reporting or CAD software is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle for field testing and inspections
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client project sites locally on a regular basis and nationally up to 20% of the time
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and vision test
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, working outdoors in varying conditions, and wearing required PPE including respirators
Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is approximately $30.00 - $45.00 per hour. Specific compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on their knowledge, skills, certifications, and experience.
