Selected professionals will evaluate high-resolution video and still imagery, identify subtle visual artifacts, develop rigorous evaluation standards, and translate complex visual observations into precise written feedback and structured quality criteria.Key ResponsibilitiesImage & Video Quality EvaluationEvaluate high-resolution still images and video sequences at pixel levelIdentify compression artifacts, noise, aliasing, banding, and other visual defectsAssess grain structure, texture fidelity, edge quality, and image consistencyDetect over-sharpening, under-sharpening, and inappropriate enhancementDetermine whether outputs meet professional film, VFX, animation, or photography quality standardsVFX, Rendering & Visual FidelityEvaluate rendering quality, lighting behaviour, textures, materials, and compositing detailsIdentify subtle inconsistencies that may be overlooked in standard visual reviewAssess continuity and visual consistency across frames and sequencesApply professional judgement to high-end digital imagery and cinematic contentReview outputs against standards used in production-quality visual workflowsColour, Lighting & Image PerceptionAssess colour consistency, grading quality, tonal relationships, and visual balanceEvaluate lighting behaviour, illumination, contrast, depth, and image structureIdentify colour artifacts and inconsistencies across sequencesApply knowledge of light physics and visual perception to quality assessmentsEvaluate depth of field, sharpness, and other image characteristics affecting perceived realismEvaluation Frameworks & Quality StandardsDesign and refine visual-quality evaluation templates and rating guidelinesDefine clear standards for identifying and categorising visual defectsDevelop criteria that reviewers can apply consistently across varied contentAddress edge cases and ambiguous visual-quality scenariosHelp maintain a consistent professional quality bar across reviewers and projectsVisual Testing & Sample DevelopmentGenerate visual samples for targeted testing and side-by-side comparisonCreate examples designed to expose specific image-quality strengths or weaknessesEvaluate enhanced, restored, generated, or upscaled content against reference materialSupport structured experimentation across different visual conditionsApply AI-assisted tools where appropriate to develop evaluation materialAI Evaluation & Written FeedbackTranslate subtle visual observations into clear, precise descriptive languageProduce structured feedback suitable for evaluation data and quality-review templatesReview AI-generated visual outputs against defined technical and aesthetic standardsIdentify recurring artifact patterns and quality failuresCollaborate with other visual specialists and project leads to maintain evaluation consistencyIdeal Profile5+ years of professional experience in film, VFX, animation, professional photography, digital imaging, or another high-end visual production environmentProfessional experience as a VFX Supervisor, Rendering Supervisor, Lighting Artist or Supervisor, Colorist, Cinematographer, Effects Artist, Surfacing Artist, Photographer, Director, Digital Projectionist, or comparable visual specialistExceptional ability to identify pixel-level flaws, artifacts, and visual inconsistenciesStrong understanding of image quality, visual perception, lighting, colour, texture, and digital-image behaviourExperience assessing high-resolution imagery and production-quality visual outputsAbility to explain complex visual defects and quality differences precisely in written EnglishFamiliarity with AI-assisted visual tools and workflowsAbility to generate visual samples for testing and comparisonTraining through a respected film, VFX, animation, photography, or digital-media programme is highly valuedReliable access to a 4K-resolution monitor or displayMust be based in the United StatesAble to work approximately 20 hours per week with availability overlapping PST through EST working hoursEngagement DetailsPart-time engagementFully remoteApproximately 20 hours per weekWorking hours must overlap the PST–EST windowCompensation: $50–$80/hourProjects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performanceWork must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, studio, or other third partyAbout the PlatformThis opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC.
