We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in the greater Tacoma, WA area. In this role you will lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projects overseeing site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.

The Role
  • Owns market-level relationships with municipalities, jurisdictions, and customers, ensuring alignment and long-term partnership success
  • Accountable for end-to-end resolution of resident and community issues across all projects in the region
  • Ensures consistent execution of community engagement and stakeholder communication strategy across all field teams
  • Lead and manage all aspects of utility construction for various types of telecom projects
  • Oversee site planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
  • Supervise and coordinate onsite construction activities, ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues or risks and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors and suppliers, ensure alignment with project requirements and company standards
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, construction drawings, permits and change orders
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, provide regular updates on project status, milestones and budgetary considerations
  • Implement and enforce best practices for construction quality control, safety protocol and environmental compliance
  • Work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 8-10 years of total relevant experience including at least 5 years of recent experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or relevant field of study; or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and prior work experience in telecom construction industry - Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground construction
  • OSHA 10 certification a plus
  • Practical knowledge of Network operations and associated inventory for both RF and fiber networks
  • Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change order preparation
  • Problem-solving and like to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
