Our choice in minimizing tillage necessitates the extensive use of hand tools, and this approach offers those interested in farming a unique opportunity to forge an intimate relationship with the soil, plants and the broader ecology of the farm. The work is highly physical, often repetitive, and being outdoors means working through the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter. For the right individual, the work we do on the farm is also immensely rewarding and provides us with limitless opportunities to learn.ย

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, displaying excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills;ย

  • Ability to operate all hand tools, small power mowers and general landscaping equipment;

Complexityย

Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring high attention to detail. This position would often enable the individual to work independently, butย  also responsible and dependable to execute assigned work. We need folks who can make informed decisions based on their own observations and make judgement calls in the field.
