Job description

Live-In Household Team (2-Person Team) –

Large Private Estate Home

PLEASE NOTE:

Responsibilities

A private estate in near Philadelphia is seeking an experienced live-in household team to manage the home's housekeeping and property. Position includes a private one-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, located on estate grounds.

Team should be dependable, responsible and have proven ability to work well together. Candidates should be proactive, organized, discreet, and committed to delivering the highest standards of service with professionalism. A service-oriented, positive attitude is important along with ability to be flexible.

Both candidates should ensure home operates smoothly and anticipate household needs. Work without supervision and take initiative to get things done. Maintain confidentiality and high level of discretion.

Housekeeper Responsibilities

  • Perform full-charge housekeeping with exceptional attention to detail
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all living areas
  • Complete laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothing and linens
  • Change bed linens
  • Organize household
  • Keep pantry stocked
  • Assist with meal preparation once per week

Houseman / Property Support Responsibilities

  • Maintain the estate grounds, including lawn care, edging, planting, and seasonal landscaping
  • Keep patios, porches, pool areas, and other outdoor living spaces clean and presentable
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas
  • Fence repair
  • Organize garage and shed
  • Run errands
  • Take cars to dealer for service
  • Driving local and to/from New York airports 4-5 times a year
  • Provide care for horses

Qualifications

  • Must apply as an established team of two individuals who live or work together
  • Experience working together in a private home or estate
  • 1 Year of housekeeping, houseman experience on an estate
  • Excellent, verifiable housekeeper / houseman references
  • Fluent in English
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and highly professional
  • Physically capable of performing active daily household and property duties
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School Grad or equivalent

Compensation

  • $50,000 per year (combined)
