Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
  • Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
  • Escort clients to appointments and errands
  • Assist with mobility and ensure home safety
  • Follow individualized care plans and document care provided
  • Observe, report, and communicate changes in client condition

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required
  • Professional or family caregiving experience accepted
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Valid driver’s license required if transporting clients
  • Must be willing and able to travel to: Huntley, Algonquin, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, and surrounding areas
  • Must pass background screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (W-2 employees only)
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality care

Preferred 
  • CPR / First Aid certification
  • Experience with Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
  • CNA or HHA certification
  • Experience with mobility assistance

Qualifications
  • Experience providing in-home services to seniors or completion/enrollment in a CNA or nursing program
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Reliable transportation between client homes
