Job description

PLEASE NOTE: Salary is dependent on experience. Yamhill County typically hires between steps 1-4 Yamhill County has one regular part-time position (19 hours/week) for a Senior Office Specialists to work in the Family and Youth Division. Your duties in this role will include a high-volume of phone calls, screening calls and receptionist services, checking in and scheduling appointments, making reminder calls, coordinating hospital discharges, scanning documents, creating correspondence and/or PDF forms, managing client enrollments, intakes and conclusions of services, updating clinicians' schedules in the Electronic Health Record system.

Money handling and reconciling petty cash and miscellaneous office work. This position will be cross trained to provide backup coverage in all areas of clerical work. Work will also include becoming an OHP assister, gathering, analyzing, and preparing reports, processing subpoenas, with minimal direction, and other duties as assigned.

Some evening and/or weekend work may be required. Bilingual in Spanish is required. The Qualifications: One year of clerical or secretarial work experience.

Course work and training related to the position may substitute for up to six months of experience. Any Satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work will be considered. Fluency in English and Spanish is a requirement.

Applicants will be required to pass skills tests including typing, document production, and Spanish (as applicable). Successful completion of a background check is also required.
